Hi I’m Andrea and I was born and raised in New Mexico.

Albuquerque

I love Albuquerque’s beautiful mountains, our gorgeous blue skies, and Balloon Fiesta! Yes, I’m a local who goes every year to Balloon Fiesta with my whole family. (I don’t even mind the traffic . . . it’s just part of the experience, yawn . . . and breakfast burritos . . . yawn and coffee . . . yawn!) I have worked as a radio disc jockey in Albuquerque for the past 20 years, and what I loved most was connecting with listeners. I have also worked in television and marketing.

Moms

I have three amazing kids and an wonderful husband who really helps make my job as a mom a whole lot easier. I am the proud mommy of an 11-year-old Lego master and Pokemon expert, a brave couch and cabinet climbing 2-year-old and a spunky, sugar loving nine-year-old girl. On days I feel like I am doing this parenting thing correctly, my biggest strength is my ability to never grow up . . . just like Peter Pan! How could I possibly grow up? I’m still holding out for that easy bake oven I never got! (Maybe this year!)  I try to really get on my kids’ level, spend quality time with them, listen to them, and play, of course! My kids and I love dancing together, building legos, and watching movies.

Blog

I think women really need a safe place to vent, connect, and inspire each other. When I heard about Albuquerque Moms Blog, I immediately wanted to be a part of it. I love hearing stories and advice from the other moms. I also love that it’s local women who are working hard to raise good kids amidst all the parenting challenges out there. I hope I can inspire or at least let other moms know they are not alone on this long road ahead, hopefully filled with more memories and love than tantrums and time outs.
