Comcast just announced that it will continue to expand its next-generation Xfinity network in Rio Rancho, making its full suite of services available to homes and businesses across the city. The $150 million project has already connected several thousand homes and businesses.

In this day and age, being connected is more important than ever, and fast, reliable internet is a must.

My husband and I both work from home, and good internet is essential for us. It’s essential for students working on assignments. And it feels especially essential when talking to loved ones far away. So much of our lives happen online, and it makes sense that we need to be connected to stay connected.

By expanding in Rio Rancho, Comcast is investing in the future of the city, as well as the future of its residents. Comcast is committed to creating a future of unlimited possibilities.

Comcast is bringing this commitment to life in Rio Rancho with initial investments in local nonprofit partners including R4 Creating and ReadWest, Inc along with economic development and business growth partners including the Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commerce and Sandoval Economic Alliance.

In the last three years, Comcast has invested more than $13.7 million in New Mexico nonprofits to help local community organizations provide hands-on digital skills training and offer workforce development/readiness workshops and other tech education to students, adults, and people with disabilities.

The funding also supports ongoing efforts to build awareness about affordable connectivity services like Internet Essentials. Comcast Internet Essentials provides affordable home internet for qualifying households. In addition, they offer low-cost computers, free WiFi hotspots, and even internet training. If you qualify for programs like the Federal Pell Grant, National School Lunch Program, SNAP, Medicaid, and housing assistance, you may qualify for Internet Essentials.

Do you qualify?
