My idea of an awesome Thanksgiving dinner is sitting down at the table with 2-3 pies in front of me with a festive colored fork and getting busy like it is nobody’s business. Who needs turkey with all the extras when there is pie right? I know I’m not the only one who thinks this way. But because I also know what it feels like to gobble until I wobble and feel the guilt of belly bloat eating an entire pie all by myself, I try to keep myself in check with 2 healthy pie smoothie recipes.

Sipping on fall pie flavored smoothie recipes throughout the month of November helps keep my waist line from feeling like I need to be on Santa’s naughty list at the start of December. If you are like me and love you some pie but want to stay on track with your fall fitness and nutrition goals, try these smoothie recipes out!

Apple Pie Smoothie
With Caramel

• 1 cup chopped apple
• 1 scoop of your fave vanilla protein powder
• 1/2 cup of fat free cottage cheese (trust me on this)
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp caramel extract
• 1/2 tsp apple pie spice
• 1/2 cup of water (add ice if you prefer)
• 1-2 packets of stevia

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie
Yes, Please!

• 1 cup of coconut or almond milk (add ice if you prefer)
• 1 banana
• 1 tbsp vanilla extract
• 1 tbsp cinnamon
• 1 tbsp chia seeds
• 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
• 1/4 cup coconut flakes + crushed pecans (you can sprinkle some on top after blending too!)

Instructions for Both Recipes

First, combine all ingredients in a blender

Second, blend until smooth and ENJOY!
