DESCRIPTION:Recreate the Jurassic landscape in a cup- and then eat it! Use your imagination to create layers of edible “dirt”\, “moss”\, “bones” and more! This treat will be dino-mite!  For ages 9-12. Registration is required. Limited to 8 participants. \nThis program is funded by the Friends of the Public Library \nThe Ernie Pyle Library is not ADA accessible because the historic building and grounds include steps\, narrow passages\, and small spaces.   It is a National Historic Landmark and it is on the State\, City and National registers of historic places. The closest ADA accessible Libraries include San Pedro Library\, South Broadway Library\, International District Library and Erna Fergusson Library.

DESCRIPTION:Battle of the Books is an annual reading competition for students in 4th through 8th grade that inspires youth to have fun by reading high-quality literature\, meeting other book lovers\, and demonstrating their knowledge of books.
